The Tibeb Girls are Ethiopia’s first amination in which Ethiopian girls not only plays the lead characters but are portraits of superpowers.

Tibeb Girls animation engaging and interactive guides to provide information about the different reproductive health issues adolescents face. The animation breaks the taboos by discussing issues such as menstruation.

The Tibeb Girls are Ethiopia’s very own Superpower girls – in green Fikir (meaning love), in black Tigist (meaning patience) and in red Fiteh (meaning Justice.

Three young Ethiopian girls use their superpowers to stop harmful practices against girls in rural areas and to promote access to school. That is the story behind the Tibeb Girls, a new animated series developed in Ethiopia.
